Funeral & Memorial Service Facilitator

Losing a loved one is never easy. A funeral or memorial service facilitator provides guidance, organization, and support, ensuring that every aspect of the service is thoughtfully planned and carried out with dignity and care. By managing the details of the ceremony, I allow families to focus on remembering and honoring their loved one rather than worrying about logistics.

As a professional vocalist, music director, and experienced funeral musician for more than 35 years, I have participated in hundreds of funerals and memorial services. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the planning, coordination, and compassionate guidance needed to create a meaningful tribute.

As your facilitator, I can assist with:

• Meeting with family members to plan the service and discuss personal preferences.

• Coordinating the order of service and directing the ceremony from beginning to end.

• Working with the funeral director, clergy, musicians, and other participants to ensure everyone is prepared.

• Greeting and assisting family members, speakers, and guests as they arrive.

• Guiding speakers and readers so they feel comfortable and confident.

• Keeping the service on schedule while maintaining a respectful and unhurried atmosphere.

• Providing cues and direction throughout the ceremony to ensure a smooth flow.

• Helping create a meaningful, organized, and memorable tribute.

• Reducing stress for family members by overseeing the details of the service.

Services Not Included:

• Writing a eulogy. However, I am happy to deliver a eulogy prepared by a family member or friend.

• Setting up or decorating the venue.

• Performing religious rites or other duties reserved for clergy.

• Providing professional grief counseling or psychological services.

• Filing death certificates or handling legal or administrative paperwork.

• Coordinating the preparation or transportation of the deceased.

• Arranging burial, cremation, or cemetery services.
