Funeral Facilitator

Having a funeral facilitator offers numerous benefits during the loss of a loved one. A facilitator provides essential support and expertise, ensuring that the funeral service is thoughtfully planned, well-coordinated, and executed with care. By handling logistical details and offering emotional guidance, a funeral facilitator helps families focus on honoring their loved ones without the added stress of managing the event themselves.

My role as a facilitator includes:

  • Meeting with family members to discuss details of the service.

  • Planning, coordination, and direction of the memorial service.

  • Coordinating with the funeral director to ensure everything is in place.

  • Greeting and guiding guests as they arrive.

  • Ensuring the service is well-organized, respectful, and meaningful.

  • Keep the ceremony on schedule, ensuring that each part proceeds smoothly and respectfully.

  • Guiding and supporting speakers to feel comfortable and prepared to deliver their tributes.

  • Ensure the smooth flow of the service.

  • Alleviating stress for families in the planning process.

My services do not include:

  • Composing a eulogy. However, I am happy to deliver a eulogy prepared by a friend or family member.

  • Setting up the venue.

  • Clergy Duties: Performing religious rituals or rites that are typically conducted by clergy or religious officials.

  • Grief Counseling:  Providing professional grief counseling or psychological support, although I may offer general comfort and support to attendees.

  • Legal and Administrative Tasks: Filing death certificates and handling other legal documents.

  • Coordinating with funeral homes or mortuaries for the preparation and transport of the body.

  • Arranging burial plots or cremation services.
